Our Staff


 

Executive Director: Janelle Kelly

Janelle has been involved in the Peak House program for over 5 years in a variety of different capacities. She brings over a decade of experience working with high risk and vulnerable youth and their families in both frontline and management capacities.

Program Manager:  Wendy Wittmack

With over 20 years experience working at Peak House, Wendy is the most senior member of the team. Her experience in the field, coupled with her experience as a mother of two adult children provides a unique and insightful set of skills and abilities that she brings to the program.

Intake & Assessment Counsellor:  Roisin Donnelly

Roisin has been with Peak House for 6 years, as a Youth Counsellor and more recently in her role as Intake & Assessment Counsellor. In addition to her work at Peak House, Roisin also sits on the Tlowitsis Citizens Advisory Group (Youth & Elder engagement). Roisin is typically the first point of contact for new referrals.

Clinical Supervisor:  Vikki Reynolds

Vikki Reynolds is our Clinical Supervisor. Vikki works a few days each month. You will see Vikki in some groups and sessions. Her main role is to provide the team with supervision and training related to counselling. In addition to her many years with Peak House, Vikki’s experience also includes work alongside refuges and survivors of torture, teams of community workers in the DTES, substance abuse teams, and work alongside queer and transgendered communities. Vikki is an Instructor with VCC, UBC and with City University in the Master’s Program.

Therapists

Allison Rice

Allison has been involved with Peak House for 10 years in a variety of different capacities. A Therapist at Peak House for two years, Allison also co-facilitates our Alumni group and participates in practicum student supervision. Allison is deeply committed to helping young people and their families.

Dennis Dion

Dennis, a Registered Clinical Counsellor has been with Peak House for three years. Dennis participates in the supervision of our Master’s level practicum students. He brings enthusiasm, humour and love for the work he does.

Youth Counsellors

Here at Peak House we have six full time Youth Counsellors (Bree, Amanda, Steve, Kinga, Warren and Jessica) two awake overnight staff (Laila and Kathy) and about ten relief/on-call Youth Counsellors. The Youth Counsellors are with the young people day and night, providing support throughout their stay.

Cook

Yan has been the cook at Peak House since 1988. Her meals and laughter are favorites here at the house. In addition to Yan, Maria is our Kitchen Coordinator; she works Mondays, does all the shopping and helps to keep the kitchen in order.

Teacher

Our teacher Janet is a Vancouver School Board employee. She has been with the program for 5 years. Janet will be the one to help you set and work toward your educational and or vocational goals. Janet’s classroom feels more like a peaceful sanctuary than a standard classroom.

Peak House also has a Doctor, Acupuncturist and Yoga Instructor
